I just threw my back out a few days ago and I’ve never had an experience like this before. Fortunately nobody has COVID, everyone is healthy and happy. “Hello everybody, I wanted to take a moment to update you guys as to what was going on with Incubus show postponements. As it turns out, the vocalist was unable to perform due to a thrown out back. Incubus’ Brandon Boyd has officially commented on the band’s recent concert postponements. We wish Ben a speedy recovery and can’t wait for him to rejoin us onstage soon! In his absence, our good friend, Tal Wilkenfeld, will be filling in for him on bass and we look forward to performing with her on these shows! Our Incubus brother and bandmate, Ben Kenney, is currently recovering from a recent medical procedure and will be unable to perform with us on our upcoming run at the end of the month. “To our beloved fans in Costa Rica, Texas and Louisiana: I miss you all and I hope you and your loved ones are safe and in good health 🖤”

I won’t physically be at the shows but I will be there in spirit. My friend Tal Wilkenfeld is taking over the bass with Incubus while I’m away.

This year I am taking some time away from touring & social media to recover. As soon as I got home from tour I had a successful operation to have it removed. “Unfortunately last year I found out I had a brain tumor. During his absence, Tal Wilkenfeld will be filling in. As such, the bassist will be missing the band’s upcoming shows. Incubus’ Ben Kenney has revealed that he is currently recovering after undergoing surgery for a brain tumor.
